Default what is this?
my check engine light came on so
I ran an obd2 code puller and came up with this; P0420, catalyst system efficiency below threshold(bank 1)
anyone got an ansewer for me??????

possible catalytic converter, if high milage, and engine starting to burn oil, it will cause the cat to go bad. ( what is your milage and are you adding oil between oil changes? )

Thanks and yes the car does have pretty high milage(170000+)and I add oil every now and then, hardly any. Could this also be a o2 sensor failure?
