Default windshield leak

Hi there, I recently noticed that there is some leakage along the passenger side of the windshield on my 98 Civic. I was wondering what the best thing to do is? Fix it with something like silicone, or should I get the whole windshield replaced? Normally i'd sell it, but I wanna keep around for my son, and it's only got 105,000 klicks on it.

silicone will help to stop the leak. If the windshield is sand blasted changing it would be better, you might find some corrosion to repair.

If it is a small damage, you can get it repaired easily. Get the damaged part injected with a pre raisin and it should do fine. But if the damage is larger and it is difficult to repair, then replacement is the choice. If its in the edges, then you b8r get it replaced because windshields provide roof support.

I was restoring a 1968 GTX that had a leak in the windshield area,I pulled off the inner trim and found a small place that looked like where the water was coming in and cleaned it well and used silicone ,checked it for leaks when it was dry and no problems, that was an easy fix ,hope you find it as easy.
