Default 1998 honda civic transmission shifting slowly and hard

I have a 1998 honda civic 1.4 with the s4pa transmission to be precise, but i'm facing an issue where when i put the car on d4 and drive the car drives in 1 then shifts to 3rd or 4th gear, so i put it on d3 and kinda solves the problem. When i put it on d3 it shift 1st, 2nd ,3rd but the shifts between 2nd and 3rd are really hard and slow that they damaged the transmission mounts. When i let my foot of the gas in 2nd it shifts into 3rd really hard but it stays in 3rd when i step on the gas again and i really have to step on it to shift back to 2nd and it shift harshly too. I think the problem is with solenoid plz help

welcome to the forum. when was the last time you changed the trans fluid, if you have not, try that first. if you have changed it and looks clean then it may be your solenoids.

I did check the fluid it is clean. I do think it is the solenoid but the problem is there is only one solenoid i see on this tranny, i think it is the control lockup solenoid, i cant find info anywhere about this particular transmission(s4pa). I'm not sure if that salenoid is the lockup solenoid or control shift solenoid. Thats the only solenoid i can see

sorry that picture does not look like the transmission shift solenoid. the solenoid has 2 towers with 3 bolts holding the unit down.

I changed the fluid when mine was doing the exact same thing and it did fix the problem.
