Hi I've been driving this car since 05, its all i have right now...its been a great car but when I go to start it it will run and when i turn the key back to shut off the starter and let it idle it stalls instantly...I have replaced the main relay and it didn't change anything...I live in maine where at the time its consistently below 20 degrees outside and colder. How can i fix this??

 

welcome to the forum. Did you try checking the ignition switch for poor contact or contact sliding out of place. You might check with Honda, they may have a service bulletin out to replace the switch ( I did not do any research on this ) Will look into this and get back to you if I can find it.

 

it is going to be your ignition switch it's possible you may have a recall on the part but i see this problem a few times a month, i am a service advisor at a honda dealership it is always the ignition switch parts range from 300 to 500 plus labor good luck hope this helps you

 

Your problen lies with the ignition plug. It is a easy replacable part or you can do a quick fix like I did. Bridge the ignition and acc switch on the back of the ignition plug with a short piece of wire. Been driving mine like that now for 4 years.
