Advice on Honda HRV
Hi all,
I'm a new member here.....my partner is interested in buying a Honda HRV and I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice to us on them as we do not know anything about them
Its a year 2000 registered model and is as follows:
She wants to use it as a city type SUV, so we would not be doing any off-roading in it...the only thing close would be parking on the grass near the local beaches....
Does anyone have experience with this model?
Are they reliable (its a Honda so I'm hoping the answer is yes).
Are they heavy on fuel?
Any other tips? eg: how often to service, change timing belt, etc.
Thanks in advance!

welcome to the forum. not many people have this car. I can only tell you from the reviews I've read that it is a good vehicle. Listen for noise from the rearend, by placing it under load. the engine rev's high due to 1.6 l. est 3500 at 70mph. good for road use, under power for off road use. those who own them say they would purchase another. new price 14k-16k production 199-2006.

Hey....thanks a lot for the reply.
So even though many people on this forum dont have this type of vehicle you think that it is still worth looking at?
We will do zero off roading in it; only interested in daily commuting and the ocassional long trip.
Any idea if it is tough on petrol?
I'm living in Sydney, Australia and petrol prices are increasing.....
The car is for sale for AUS$6.5k approx
Thanks!
