Default New member needs advice quick on buying an oldie honda!

Hey Guys, I am on the fence on wether to buy this car. It is an 86 Honda CRX. The car has over 230000 mi. on the chassis. The engine was rebuilt as well as the transmisson. This car is completely rust free as it was stored winters and came from down south. He was asking $3500, but he says that he will let it go for a min. of $3000. This car has the 5 spd tranny with the fuel injected engine. I will try and post some pics of the car later today. I just don't know if this car is worth that much. The interior is decent, not perfect. It runs and drives great except for a bit of a rough ride due to performance shocks. The shocks are adjustable. I would be using it for my daily driver so it will not be sitting in a garage. The car is completely stock with good tires on it. If you guys can tell me what you think I would really appreciate it.

well the price is to high but considering these are now collector cars believeit or not these cars are very sought after in the honda tuning community especially the fuel injected SI model with that being said you will be a target for car theft if you get it keep it garaged and alarmed. the price is way to high though and because it has been modified and mostlikely beat on i personally wouldn't buy it.

I have to agree, the performance shocks threw up a red flag, and what other aftermarket items were installed, like Lowlife says too high and risky.

This is a rare car. But this guy has it priced too high, I think its because he really doesn't want to sell it. He's just testing the waters. Offer him $2500 and walk away. He'll contact you when he's ready to sell
