Angry HELP-99 Civic EX-No Brake Lights-Automatic

Hey guys n gals..I have a 99 civic-I cannot move the car into drive..the shifter is stuck..Also i have no brake lights and my horn does not work..now i checked the fuse under the hood and it was blown..so i replaced it and it blew again..i just got a new brake light switch and also replaced that. The person who i bought the car from had a remote starter..they said it was disconnected but i wonder if this can be causing a short..Any suggestions?

sounds like they used a piggyback connector to connect onto some wires and it is grounding out. I think those starters have to hook to a wire telling it that it is in "park". Look around for wires with some black tape and maybe 1 will not have tape. The culprit is hard to find. But, a wire is definately grounding.
