Unhappy HELP with my 08 honda civic

couple weeks ago my car was getting little hot like little past the boat so my father thought lets put sealant in to close all the leaks because someone told him it might be a blown head gasket but every day i always have to fill it with coolant so yesterday i was driving on the free way slow lane and all of sudden my car when all the way to the H and then started making a clunking sound so i pulled over let it cool down for a bit and then i turn it on just where it shows all the light and it was down again whats going on with my car??? i just need someone not to give me the run around because i got a pressure test done and they said it could be a blown head gasket or cracked head well i found out i have a recall for my car on a cracked head i took it to a Honda dealer and they said no its not a cracked head so can someone please tell me whats going on with my car???

welcome to the forum. Did the dealer do a compression check? what was said of the head gasket. under normal conditions, when the engine is overheated "H" or into the red zone for a while, the head gets warped and the head gaskets leaks.

it is a little expensive to have the head gasket replaced, and have the head shaved/milled. it also is a good time to have the head checked for possible cracks, you can see the inside where normally it is unseeable with out a boroscope.

that is good, no water leak into the oil. water into the cylinders and burning it up, this would show as a steam like mist out of the tail pipe when it should be clear.

try purging the cooling system of air see if that helps also make sure the radiator cap is functioning properly.
