'D' blinks when in drive, what is the sign? id the gear faulty or it needs service? what should I do?

 

welcome to the forum, you will need to take it to a place that can get the code for the blinking d such as autozone, or ammco. they may even advise you as to what needs to be done. if it is simple you can do the work yourself.
