I am international so I don't know all the normal things here in the states. Anyway, I purchased a 2015 Honda accord coupe ex, and I got it in a good price comparing to the near by dealers. I will get the car on Monday and will pay the rest of the money.. The concern is whether there is a free warranty for the tech/transmission and etc for my car for the first 100,000 miles or not?

After I paid the first amount and I got the receipt from them (so we done the contract), they told me there is a warranty that costs $2500 for the 100,000 miles if there is any issues with the transmission or the machine etc. So did they lie on my? or it is normal? I will truly not get their warranty because I am not willing to pay $2500, but is there other warranty from them or the manufacturer that they don't tell me about or not?

If there is no warranty, did they lie on me and they needed to get money out of my pocket because I got the car in a good deal?

What is my rights? Oil free? If something happen with the tires, tech, or transmission what should I do?

welcome to the forum. the normal warranty from honda is 36k miles or 3 years, also 5 yrs on rust. If you did not pay for the 100k warranty you saved yourself $2500. Most hondas will not have transmission problems if you change your trans fluid each year. make sure whom ever you send it to uses honda fluid only and nothing else but honda fluid. You can still purchase a 100k mule warranty from another company for about 1800 if you do some good shopping. always read what is covered in these warranties. Also all your oil and filter changes must be done with a receipt from the store or business you do your oil changes with.

 

normal ware and tare is not covered under warranty, anything that is falling apart within 36k take it to the dealer, they will advise you if it is covered under warranty. make sure if you find anything to write it down ( document all items that you feel is not right) have a log book in your glove box.

 

It does sound like the wanted yo sell you the extended warranty,i would not purchase it,Hondas arevery reliable,and if maintained will last several hundred thousand miles.
