My Ridge has been servicing me Perfectly (i've really used it alot ) So sooner or later the piper has to be paid
Ok, so on a perfectly normal day
I noticed all the warning lights on ,
typical I put truck in park
come back 20 minutes (after shopping)
Truck starts runs perfect Hmmm wont go out of park
I tried the reset button on steering column override Nope
The brake light switch is working
Reset computer - no help
I rock back and forth and some how yes it slipped out of park (think was just a coincidence )
with relief I put into drive to go & truck shuts off immediately & will not restart
put back in park to renew that problem
As yes stuck in park and now wont restart but she cranks
Any how progressive insurance towed truck home For my next decision
The symptoms
Stuck in park
Just cranks
All dash lights ablaze
------
Edit - upon a closer look as I originally asked someone if they saw break lights on (they said yes) well I wedged peddle and no they are not on
so first step is replace switch I hope the no start is connected some how or possibly multiple problems
I plan to disconnect battery refresh PCM put in new switch . Lets see

I put in new switch , the lights still not activating
my last bulbs changed month ago I did use led but seem to worked fine and I still have regular lights .
Any how I bought truck used last year so battery must be a few years old but plenty of power to start
I can test with a booster pack to see it helps .
I guess what you'd be saying is a weak battery might not be powering up PCM enough . Strange thing how over ride button does not allow gear shift to move
Im starting to feel this will be more then a simple fix
Horn and brake lights same fuse so No fuse issue

Until I know you have a good battery I can't help you. I think it's your problem. Do a load test.

I think you might be correct ,
see I have the old school mentality if it starts its good
. But I understand 2011 as with current autos need strong batteries for more then just starting
but also to power the systems that deliver instructions
I also did notice red connectors had white corrosion that I cleaned
I believe Walmart will be my shopping choice
PS using a thicker screwdriver allows me to bypass shift .

I do have a future appointment with honda if all else fails /
I put in new battery wile it does have mildly stronger turnover sound still same situation .
based on research it seems that the Honda is immobilized as green key dash light blinks & will not go away
also my alarm light also continues to blink red . the fuel pump does not prime at this time the tail lamp Break light non working
My guess these must be symptoms of theft prevention .
`Can the theft systems be reset ?
& to be honest my 2011 Ridge
I have to believe potential theft becomes less and less a possibility
id just a soon have no theft prevention . with less to go wrong
