2006 BF225 Constant alarm when engine cranks up
I just bought this used 225 Honda with 465 hours showing on the hour meter and installed it and the controls and wiring harness that came with it. It has a continuous steady alarm from the time the engine cranks up. This was a repower from my 1996 150 Johnson Ocean Runner that I bought new. The reason I mentioned that was to let you know this is my 1st Honda outboard and I'm not familiar with them. But I am mechanically inclined so any tips/checks anyone could give me would be greatly apricated

I noticed my digital trim gauge wasn't working so I started checking the wiring and couldn't find any problems. But in the process of checking I unplugged the T&T sensor and cranked the engine and the alarm was no longer sounding off. I plugged it back in and it started sounding off again. Like I said in the beginning the gauge wasn't working, so I put a new sensor on and as soon as I plugged it in the alarm started sounding off again. The T&T works fine just not showing on the gauge. All wiring seems fine from the best that I can tell. Any suggestions? I hate to buy a new gauge and it not fix the problem.
