Just picked up a boat with 135 and 9.9 Honda’s .
The 9.9 is electric start and I believe it has the auto choke . It is a real pain to start but once it’s running it runs great after 10min of start, cough, start ,cough .
is there a trick to starting these 9.9 ? Any help would be appreciated. Thx !

 

welcome to the forum. check to see if the fuel system is clean. if the boat sat for a while, the system tends to coke and need cleaning. carb my be cloging.up.
