Fuel pump problem? outboard motor
Gidday all, sorry if I'm repeating another thread, newbie here.
I've got a 2005 20hp outboard with electric start, (BF20D) I got it running, but it's not easy to start. I have cleaned the carb, replaced the fuel filter, yet the auto choke doesn't seem to be working. Once motor is running, it's fine and has no issues, but once it's shut off, all the fuel seems to run back down the line into the tank. The bulb on the line always goes flat after motor is shut off, needs to be pumped again and a bit of throttle to get it going again, when no throttle should be needed.
I was going to replace the fuel pump and possibly the bulb (faulty check valve?) but before that does anyone have the same issue or have an idea what the problem is?
Thanks for the help.
