Default No power to high pressure fuel pump

Have a 2004 115 hp EFi that has no power to the high pressure fuel pump. Can hear the main relay click. New one and original relay click when key is turn on. Book says that pump should run for two seconds when key is turned on. I get nothing at pump.

My question is, is that controlled by the ECM? ? Is it bad? Can't find any kind of fuse for it.

Thanks for any help!

The HP pump is not the one that primes. That';s the in tank pump.

2004 115 horse power EFI (electronic fuel injection) has no high pressure fuel pump (unless it is a diesel engine). The fuel pressure is around 40 to 55 psi for EFI. For carburetors it should be about 4 to 7 psi.
Turning the key to the on position should prime the fuel rail. Fuel pump runs for about two seconds. Sometimes difficult to hear. If fuel pumps does not work then engine will not start.

The ECU controls the fuel pump prime. This is done thru a relay. Do the test for a bad relay. Swap a good one in and check.

EFI and HPFP makes no sense. EFI only has one pump. Do a pressure test.
