How long can we expect the scooter to last. My 07 has almost 30,000 miles and just recently is running louder. The shop guys changed the drive belt thinking that’s where there noise was coming from. They said they had a difficult time identifying where the sound originated. With the new drive belt on it is still noticeably louder. Just wondering if this is just about all the miles I can expect out of the scooter.

 

Like anything, with proper maintenance any machine can last for a very long time.
Is the noise an exhaust noise? Or engine noise?
Tapping noise or rumbling noise?

 

I really think it’s n engine noise more like tapping than rumbling. To me it seems to come from the circular covered area in front of the muffler.

 

might want to check for any loose bolts around the exhaust manifold.
