1985 Elite CH250 Needing Some Love
Hello all, first time posting. I was on the Slonaker Honda Helix forum for many years and too bad it's no longer up and running...
I just bought a very nice 1985 Elite CH250 with 2,785 miles on it. It's the light champagne gold color, not sure what Honda calls it. Has brown'ish inner panels with the two-tone brown seat. Runs great; a bit faster/quicker than my 1998 Honda Helix with just 3,400 miles on it.
The Elite 250 has been down at least once on the right side. I'm not sure how to explain the fairing setup as I've seen MANY without this fairing and just a few with it. There's the speedo cluster front painted cover that houses the turn signals and has the HONDA name plate up from. This type uses a windshield with steel stand-offs that hold a molded windshield. Mine has a "second" fairing that overlays the original one and has holes in it for the turn signals to show through. The windshield just bolts along a straight line onto this fairing without any metal support rods etc.
I would like to find a batter cover for the instrument cover, part#: 37213-KM1-670 Panel B. I also would like to purchase a good, but maybe repaint only, from windshield fairing as I described above.
Anyone have a source for used parts, as these are obsolete now???
Thanks in advance!

I have A 1988 and my fairing is beat up a bit. doing some bodywork on it. my windshield is a bit yellow, and it must have been out in the heat, the plastic is melted over the temp gauge. i do look on ebay but the hope of different parts is slim
