80 elite constant starting problems
hey im new to this forum. ive had a 03 elite 80 for a while now
im not a newbe on working on it and ive been a mechanic for 30 years
so lets review
ive always had cold start issues. the exhaust is straight piped with a aftermarket muffler
ive gone through carbs like 1 every 3 years or more
once the unit starts and heats up usually it will start no prblem
its just cold start. starting fluid is required
im not looking for basics. im looking for more of those juicy secrets to getting my scoot to where its not a battle every cold start
so has anyone ever jetted a stock carb? i bought a kit and im about to work on it but are there aftermarkets already set up that are worth the money?
any other tricks and tips are greatly appreciated
ive researched and theres really nothing ive found to make it a beast, pun intended
im also about to remove this damn vacume petcok on the fuel tank, or is that an issue that could flood carb
hook me up folks
send me to the right threads if you got em
peace!
