Question CH250 coil

Hi: I have a 1990 Elite CH250 scooter. I suspect that a bad coil ruined my CDI. The shop manual calls for a primary resistance of .2 to .3 ohms. I'm getting readings around .7 ohms. The secondary resistance is supposed to be in the 8.0K to 9.5K range. I'm getting a reading around 7.7K ohms. Does anyone know if these differences are significant? I'm okay buying a new coil but I can't find one. Is there anywhere I can find an after market or OEM one? Alternatively, is there a place that can make one to specifications? I don't want to plug in my new CDI unit before I get the coil figured out. Thanks. Mike

If the primary is more than a half ohm it's to much.

Thank you for your input. I tried another meter after my initial post and came up with a better reading of .2 ohms. So the primary looks okay. The new meter however shows a secondary reading of 7.69K ohms which is still a little below the 8 - 9.5K ohm range. Is this a problem for my new CDI? Maybe it's normal or could it be an indication that the coil is going bad? Thoughts? Mike

Your coil is intact.
