Dead Metropoitan
I have a question about my Honda Metropolitan. The scooter stopped running and would not restart. I tried to fix it myself, but failed. I took it to a Honda dealer and when he called je told me the ECU was bad. He said he could fix it by installing a new ECU, at considerable expense. or bypassing It completely, at a much lower cost. I chose the latter. When I got it home it started once and ran fine with all lights working. The next time I tried to start it, nothing. Not with the electric start or by kick starting.. Also none of the lights worked. No electrical activity what-so-ever.. The battery is new and the fuses are good. What could be wrong?
I previously wrote in February of last year about a problem with my 2004 metropolitan. I got no responses so I thought I would try again. My first post is pretty complete as to the problem but I will reiterate that the battery and all fuses are good but I have no electrical activity at all. Is this, somehow a problem with the ecu? What could cause a condition where there is no electrical activity? I am finding it increasingly difficult to find anyone who will work on this scooter so any thoughts would be appreciated.
