I was in Indonesia last month and I fell in love with the Honda motorbikes there. However, when I got back to the US I couldn't find those models offered on Honda's website.

Are those not sold in the US?

*Motorbikes are CRAZY popular in Jakarta, Indonesia. They "flow like water" through and around car traffic. I even rented a ride on one twice and it was very exciting and fun. GF's sister let me drive hers.....after I promised to "buy her a new one" if I wrecked it. :P

 

all honda's are not in north america. most are tested in everywhere other than the us until proven to be acceptable, and not the same engine as us made. example. the honda Fit was built in japan as the jazz with a 1.2 liter engine approx 2001. in 2007 the jazz became the north american Fit with 1.5 l engine with 107 hp, and a lot of safety features added. to day the same Fit is a 1.5 liter with 130 hp. body change each 2 years. if you were to get a japan made engine to put into the american made foreign car you need to do a few engine mods. i take it the same for the bike.

 

The Jazz! I saw that in Jakarta several times and I thought "that looks a lot like a Honda Fit."

I don't recall any of the model names on the Honda motorbikes but Honda dominated that area in spades. Toyota dominated the car market there with Honda a distant second. I think Daihatsu was a distant third, based on what I saw.
