Default 1974 Honda MR 50 Elsinore Original

Dear Forum,

I’ve owned a 1974 Honda MR 50 Elsinore since 1974. My dad bought me this motorcycle when I was 12yrs old. I’m 58 now . This motorcycle has been kept literally inside the house for the last 25 years only taken out once every month to start it and let it run. The bike is 100% all original everything! Even the tires believe it or not. They are cracked on the sidewalls but still look great and will hold air for a quick ride. I even have the receipt! $374.00. I will post a bunch of pics tomorrow.

At any rate, I’ve come to the point where I’m thinking of selling it to someone that collects or can really use this as a beautiful piece of art at a restaurant, bar or something. I’ve seen these priced anywhere from $1700 (pretty beat up) to $6,000 which look like my bike. Honestly since I am not in this business, I really don’t have a good gauge on what this bike is worth. I do know they are very rare.

I am reaching out to this forum for some help and to see if anyone is interested.

thank you
ralph

welcome to the forum. the values you have found are good. if yours is in excellent condition it will command good value. 7000 would be a bike with super low milage, in excellent shape, new tires no cracks, no paint chip, new battery, all lights clean and shinny, spokes polished. like in show room condition.
