1992 Honda Civic DX
My name is Art and I am having idling problems. I have bleed the coolant system, changed the IAT, temperature sending unit and I believe everything else imaginable and the car still idles erratically. I removed my air intake charger and put my hand over the pipe that it connects to and the idle went to normal. Do I need to replace the air intake charger with the original air filter? Next step is the mechanic.
Welcome to the forum,It sounds like you have solved your own problem,do you have an aftermarket Cold air induction system? If so some of these filters are very cheap and don't do the job they were intended to do,Have you checked the engine codes? (CEL) There is a blue plug near the passenger side area kick panel at the lowest part of the dash. Take a paper clip and stick it into that. Turn the key to the 'on' position. Count the codes that flash on the dash. Google these codes for possible areas to check and replace. Also you can Google the location for this 2-pin blue plug to check. I would do this before replacing any parts that may not need replacing.check back with us,good luck,Bobby
