2012 Honda civic small motor automatic tr just over 100,000 milesansmission
car is just about 100,000 miles.... the main problem is with the oil light had the valve cover gasket replaced the oil changed and now the oil light comes on and stays on for about 30 seconds after startup. I think as long as she's driving it stays off it's just that first initial start up time. I really haven't seen the car to see my impression of the light situation. I hear these have to oil sensors one lower front of the engine and then one in the back of the engine off the valve cover wondering if one of those could be bad. The last guy that changed the oil said it looked pretty dirty another thing to wonder is is a pickup screen all dirty and possibly clogged a little bit... more work well let me know what you guys think thank you is this recommended oil full synthetic 10/30 W
If it worries you then change oil and filter again to see if the oil light situation clears up.
Before changing oil, run engine until hot or warmed to normal operating temperature.
Also modern engines use 5W30 due to tighter tolerances.
Should check the oil filler cap or manual for your vehicle.
Synthetic is recommended
