sorry samanthaxxx, some of us seem to be a bit shy, or went out on vacations (long ones) Oil being used if not leaking on to the ground is being consumed into the combustion chamber, burning oil. you may not see it, could be mild burning and no smoke seen. If your vehicle has high milage or may have been abused this is possible. Doing a head job places higher compression on the weak lower end like the compression rings to allow bypass.
