CH 250 stalls suddenly
I'm a newish rider and my 1990 CH250 scooter has been running beautifully until recently. It starts and runs fine for a couple of miles then dies suddenly with no warning. It usually restarts and I can go a short way. With repeated restarts I have limped home. The next day its does exactly the same thing. I thought maybe the gas cap but I ran without one and it did the same thing. I changed the fuel filter and could see fuel running into it. Then I noticed the fuel stopped going into the filter and of course the scooter died. I checked the fuel pump and it works. I drained the carb bowl and took carb off. The jets, needle and float looked okay and very clean. The vacuum tube looked good too. Any ideas? Any chance it's the CDI or a bad coil once it heats up or a problem with the carb I'm not aware of? I'm not overly mechanical but I'd rather not just start throwing parts at the problem. Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. Mike
