Default Intermittent stalling

Hi , my daughter has a 2004 CRV ,car has run fine until she ran out of fuel, filled up from Gerry Can , she drove about 250 meters and it stalled, I started it by pumping gas pedal, went fine ,now does same thing intermittently. So drives fine , then stalls at idle, can be restarted with pumping gas pedal , will run fine again then randomly does this again. Did it last night , got it started , drove home with engine getting rough as I drove in driveway , then stalled as I pulled up to stop. Wouldn’t run at idle , needed to give it some juice Tom stay running . This morning , fine again ? Just took it for a drive and goes perfect. I thought it must be fuel filter getting blocked , thoughts?

What old beast do you have that has a carburetor? A plugged fuel filter will not ever run good. Look elsewhere.

Do you have a scan tool to look at live data?

I wonder if running it drive sucked up some sediments in the tank or the gasoline had water or something in it.

Fill up the gas tank to at least half full.
There is sediment or water in the gas tank
And yes, there will always be water and/or sediment in the gas tank of a 19 year old car
This can cause this issue. Run the engine for a while after this.

Sediment and debris could have clogged the fuel filter
