Not clear on what happened.
You swapped in a 1.5 engine in. But, you took off the immobilizer off the engine??

If the new engine had an immobilizer then the ECM that came with the engine
it is looking for the signal from the immobilizer to say it is okay to start.
The ECM will not let the engine work without the proper signal from the immobilizer
You will either need to reinstall the immobilizer and have the original key
Or, you will need a new ECM that will run the engine without an immobilizer signal

Are you using a new ECM or the old ECM with the new engine?
