My gf decided to buy a car from a friend she was in desperate need. I look at the title and it was a salvage title everything was shady on title that was filled out. Car bought in MO we are in AR. What's the cheapest way to get a vin report? Carfax is too much. Any ideas or help? Thank you.

 

welcome to the forum. has the vehicle been registered at this time, if not the best thing would be to see if she can return the car, cheapest way out at this time.

 

well it is shady her friend didn't say it was a salvage but that doesn't mean its a bad car. it could have been in a minor accident and the cost to fix it exeded the book value of the car which wouldn't be much if its a high mileage older honda. there usually around 2,000 3,000 dollars. how muchdid you pay for the car ??? does your state have lemon laws ??? does the title say bought as is ???
