Greetings all
Hiya all.
I just bought my first Honda. It's a automatic 1995 Honda Civic. Previously I had driven a 1991 VW Golf, this is quite a change.
I love the car, it was like built for me (I'm very short) .
I'm a bit confused about is there a way to tell the difference between a Si and CX? My title says CI? I tried to find it online, but doesn't exist. I'm thinking someone just misheard the "S" and put "C" instead. Insurance quotes were asking.
Uh...the other thing is...where is the transmission dip stick? My VW's was right infront similar to where the oil one is for the Honda.
Cheers all!

RE: Greetings all
welcome to the forum. CI means compression ignition ( diesel ) SI is spark ignition. If you have a CX you have a d15b8 engine. Does your emblem on the back of the trunk area have an SI, also check to see your engine type on the engine block. your 95 civic 2dr or 4 dr. If you have an automatic, I don't believe you have an SI model. Transmission stick (sitting in the drivers seat ) front of the trans, left side, above the half shaft height, red or yellow loop. If you have a owners manual or a maintenance manual, it would help, or go to the library and they may have a manual to view.
