Hello! I'm Tom Joyce. I'm new to the forum. As my first post I'd like to ask a question.

I'm going to get my dad's 2005 Honda Civic VP. It has the AM/FM/CD stereo and the cassette deck option. My dad is going to get my mom's car, which is a 2003 Honda Civic, LX trim i believe. It has the AM/FM/CD stereo and does NOT have the cassette deck option. (And in case you're curious, my mom is getting a nice new Accord)

It would be nice if my dad could move the cassette deck over to his new car (probably meaning i'd do it ...). Is that possible? The stereos look exactly the same. The only problem is my mom asked the dealership and she was told that it would not work. But I think it is probable that we can move it over, and that the dealership misunderstood my mom's question.

If we can't just move the cassette deck over, could we move the stereo + the cassette deck? What are our options?
