Default New guy from texas

Im new to the site and the honda world in general. Always felt they were not as good as other brands. But I came across this one in a trade and could not pass it up I felt. It is a 2000 civic coupe with a b16 motor(supposedly) in the trunk for a rebuild. I dont know a lot about the car or if it was a better one to by for that year model. I konw the vin has EM1 in it. I plan to use it as a daily driver so the mods will be bare minumum, just enough to give it a little extra umph. Here is a parts list and a few pics

Parts:
Eagle crank
Wiesco High comp pistons
And thats it. I dont get why those are all the mods but hey least the bottom end parts are good.

How it set before my buddy got it

Also do I have to put the engine block in the car to be able to move it around or just the trans? And and ideas for power adders are appreciated.
