Greetings All!

I've never owner a Honda but am thinking about getting a 2012 Odyssey...Consumer Reports gives them the highest rating...but I heard a lot of complaints about transmission problems which scares me since I'm planning to tow a trailer thru Mexico...any thoughts or advice?

welcome to the forum. If you are buyig an Odyssey, ask the ower if you can take it to a trans shop to check out the transmission. I have come to find out that when there is a "complaint" about any part of any vehicle, any make, it is a very few compared to the massive number of vehicles produced in that year. If you see many transmission recalls, then be scared. If you decide to tow any trailer on any vehicle, go to a good trans shop and ask to install a trans cooler to assist. or you can install it yourself.

if you decide to get a new mini van, go to auto trader.com and they have a comparison chart on the Ody and Sen. good compare job. Then it comes down to its your money being spent, most of us purchase Hondas due to reliability and resale.
