Default No coolant to heater core

Hello all,
Been chasing a problem on a 2010 Honda accord with a 2.4 4 cyl.
short version is that there is no coolant getting to the heater core.
I removed both hoses from the fire wall and ran the car with the radiator cap on and off from cold to running temp and the fluid barely trickles out
the car does NOT overheat, ever
new thermostat
full of coolant
did not change the water pump as i have no reason to believe that's the problem.
I'm looking for suggestions on what to try to fix or diagnosis the issue
i flushed the heater core both ways

to be clear, there is no fluid getting to the heater core, has anyone seen this before?
thanks
D

Default Hot Water

I’m not familiar with your model but most cars have a hot water valve on the inlet (top hose to the core) that turns the coolant flow off when heat is not called for. Soooo, trace the top hose from the core back to the connection near the thermostat. The valve, either mechanical, vacuum or electrical will be in line. Probably above the transmission and behind the block.
Happy hunting.

I appreciate the input how ever they are no valves on a 2010 accord.
