Stock 99 Civc DX hatch *Need advice*
I just got a manual 99 civic dx hatch and was wondering if anyone could give me any direction with it. It’s 100 percent stock. My goals are to keep it as a tasteful, fun daily. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

welcome to the forum. only advice i can give is to keep the oil and oil filter changed between 3-5k miles depending on how you drive. city driving change more often, hwy less often. air filter as it gets dirty and cannot see the sun light through it. if using synthethc oil milage is higher for change. timing belt changed at 90k or 5-6 years if it has not been done or in question, change it with the tensioner, water pump, crank and cam seal. use honda parts if possible. oil to use mobil 1 5w20 unless other oil used by previous owner and they have told you what oil to use. milage on a civic can go to 350k + if well kept or more. my 02 civic made it to 320k+ miles and given to someone else to continue use. don't get fancy on the car, if it is damaged or stolen you will only get low blue book, which is not much. if you can pick up anything good from a salvage yard cheap, then not much to loose enjoy your daily runner/ride. put a good alarm. if putting in a good stereo, face less type is less desirable to steal. if you are a young person, be aware the police like to stop you driving a HONDA over an older person driving a corvette
