Aloha vigorcomp: Welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay, hope we can help you with some info. No it is not required to change your water pump when you change your timing belt. But it is advisable to change the water pump, cam seal, crank seal, at the same time. My mom's accord had the timing belt changed and a few months later, the water pump failed, so it cost her again the amount of changing the belt and the water pump. First time belt 345.00 second time water pump 545.00. the seals were not changed and just before the second time around with belt and pumps the leaks started.
