Default What motor is this?
I bought this car for 400 dollars and want to fix it up. Not sure what parts to buy because I'm unclear what motor this is. It's a 94 civic ex but when I look them up it doesn't look the same

welcome to the forum. it could be a D16a 8/9 VETEC DOHC I4 or a B16a I/B16A2 VETEC DOHC. you may be able to get the engine model off the block of the engine.

Thanks for the suggestion I'll try to check the block. So even if it doesn't say v-tec it could be one.

Pretty sure it's a B18B non v-tec. Were on the head do you look to confirm.

engine id is on the block. facing the front of the car. or the 8th nbr on your vin will tell you what engine you have in your honda
