We have 2010 Odyssey with 97,000 miles now burning oil and misfiring in cylinder 2. We understand now that this is common with this model but that the "extended warranty" for this expired in 2018.

Has anyone had any success with Honda in trying to resolve such issues after 2018? We had thought that Honda was a reliable brand and that their vehicles should last much more than 97,000 miles.

Our previous "Caravan" had 165,000 miles and did not burn oil or foul spark plugs.

welcome to the forum have you tried to get in touch with American Honda to ask them if there is any assistance to this cronic problem. or recall.

 

We have contacted American Honda last month. First they said they would like to examine the car at a local dealer. Then they said the inspection would cost $ 175 for the spark plugs, plus additional price for the oil. Then they said the inspection would be "no charge." Then they said that that was an error and they would get back to us "shortly" with some compromise. But it's been a month already now and we're still waiting on them. The dealer has also been in contact with American Honda and they're also waiting for an answer. That's why we're inquiring to see if any other customers had any better outcomes??

 

keep after american honda. be nice but keep after them.

 

After 8 years, I think Honda just wants to be done with the vehicle???

 

2022 honda still making the Odyssey. why be done with a family van with out a replacement???
