Default bad transmission parts at 59K miles

has anyone had major failing parts after warranty that Honda helped with financially? I have a 2005 which had 3yr/36K factory warranty. At 59K teh toque converter is failing and I hear Honda will assist. Any ideas?

honda will help financially if there is a recall or if the warranty items just expired with in a few miles or days or if there was an ongoing problem with any component, or the service dept was advised in writing prior to a failure of the component. BUT
You can write to American Honda Headquarters and ask for assistance, Sometimes they help due to the low milage you have and if your car has been serviced by a Honda Dealer during its life time.
