I've got a '97 Ody w/200k+ that I'm about to donate. but I've been trying to wring out those last few days/weeks with it. but it's developed the following: the check-engine light's been on for about a month. then this weekend, it started having the oil light "flicker" at idle. when I accellerated, the light would go out. then today, it still "flickers" at idle, but when I accellerate, it now continuously "blinks" (off & on). then when I come to a stop, back to flicker... then pull away - blinking.
dipstick show good level.
your thoughts?

 

First thing to do is to check engine oil level
Add oil as necessary

 

welcome to the forum. check your wire hook up to the oil sending unit. if it is secured and clean, possible oil sending unit going bad.
