Did Honda fix some of the issues for VCM in the 2016 Odyssey? I just purchased an Odyssey SE with about 100k miles and I don't detect any of the issues that have been mentioned for previous years. It transitions in and out of ECO smoothly and I don't hear any "drone" in the cabin or feel a rougher ride. I had the spark plugs just replaced and three of the plugs were a bit more discolored so it appears some oil fouling is possible but less than expected. The plugs were not marked but I am assuming they were from the rear cylinders.

Some of the previously reported effects of VCM for previous years were: oil fouling of plugs to the rear cylinders, higher oil usage, stress to rings when VCM is enabled, early failure of engine mounts, rough running when VCM is enabled, shudder when VCM is enabled or disabled, delayed acceleration when VCM is enabled and coming out of it, potential earlier engine failure due to VCM. So I am wondering if Honda improved the technology for the 2016 3.5L engine.
