Default unhappy with nav on 2016

we had a 2011 odyssey and loved it. we gave it to our daughter because she needed a safe car. we bought a new 2016 odyssey but now see that we cannot use nav while driving like we did in 2011. I am so unhappy with this. If you are unhappy about this, please call honda and let them know. they said it lots of people call in they will work on a fix. their phone number is 1-800-999-1009 You will want to hit 7 to talk to a customer service rep.

Are you talking about the safety feature,if so I can't change mine in my corvette either unless it's in park,a feature I hate because if my wife wants to change something while I'm driving she can't,sucks.

Honda is not the only OEM to have this feature. We have a 2014 Ford F-150 with navi that also locks when the car is not in park. It is ultimately a safety feature, albeit a sometimes annoying one.

if my husband is driving and we need to change course we can't do it while the car is moving. We would have to pull off the freeway stopped the car and then change your direction. If we want to change it back again we need to do the same thing. Plus it is not a safety feature I am constantly looking at the nab yelling at it and getting disgusted with it so it doesn't help my safety driving in anyway

Didn't hear about it issue, but definitely it's something that needs fixing. I know a friend had a "16 nav, he got it at DSRLeasing and he had no problems of this sort, but most people does unfortunately.

i think it may be a gov. Regulation that the nav system be limited to use while in park only to keep people from losing control of the vehicle.
