I have a 1993 bike that sat in the garage for about 3 years. Seems that the petcock leaked fuel into the carb bowl (which I have since replaced the petcock).

I have dropped the carb and then cleaned it out - or so I've thought - twice. the first time was with spray carb cleaner and looked inside the jets with a jewerlers lope and it looked clean and the second time let everything sit in carb cleaner for about 3 hours.

The long and the short, I have no midrange on the bike at all. It starts and runs well on the low end, but midrange it stumbles and wide open it seems to run fine. I've run it without the Air Intake cleaner in the neighborhood, and it still runs poorly.

I've dropped the needle 1 position, but it's still running poorly. I've done the plug and the obvious. My only options I've got left are to take the carb off the bike, put the main body into the carb cleaner and let it sit for about a week to be sure all the passages are clean or replace the carb.

Any ideas on what i'm missing????
