welcome to the forum crazystazy: enjoy your stay. The crx is a good milage car., does not have airbags from the research I've done,(1990) friend of mine has his still with 300,000 miles, little maintenance, but now a bit weak going up the interstate 14 lax to palmdale. If you are a new driver, get a car with airbags. at least a drivers side.Civic's are good, accords are better. and if you go to craig's list there are some in good condition. If you can find one from an old retired couple of people, they are kept in good condition. What have you got in mind. Crx is fun to drive, it is the prerunner to the del-sol.

oh o-k well thank you. but yah im a semi new driver, and with the gas price the way it is i was just lookin for a cheap car with good gas mileage and this looked like a good one. and also i like to have fun and the reviews seem to all say the crx is a quick/fun car to drive. but i was just wondering how the safty ratings were knowing the risk of having fun....

safety rating for that time of year were 4 and 5 star. great cars for milage. still consider the new civic's with equal milage but with airbags.

sorry my error, I ment to say newer, not brand new, ones with at least a driver airbag. But if you feel you are a safe driver, a crx is a good car to drive and save $$$

if you can find a crx with less than 200k would be great, or if it has higher milage one with and overhauled engine and trans or one that is kept up well on maintenance.Milage on a car is ok, as long as the owner keeps up the maintenance. I have sold several of my cars with high milage 150k + and are all still on the road with less maintenance then I use to do on them.
