So, I have read a ton a threads about tranny issues in the '04 Pilot. Enough to know that not all the tranny's that were replaced did not necessarily need to be. I am curious what the thoughts are that I maybe just have a pressure switch that needs to be replaced?

2004 Pilot AWD
168,000 miles
Fresh fluid, well maintained

Shift and runs fine all except when shifting into 3rd. Every so often, it will miss 3rd and just rev up until I take my foot off the gas. if I let the RPM gauge drop all the way, then apply gas, it is fine. Doesn't matter if under load or not. Only when shifting to this gear. No lights, no codes when scanned.

Any thoughts?

 

Have you checked your fluid level? and have you checked it correctly fully warmed up in park engine off on a level surface?
