Default 2007 RWD PILOT TRANNY broken. NEED ADVICE

I have a 2007 RWD Pilot in Atlanta GA with about 175,000 mi that looks to be nearly new and always stored inside and never had a a mechanical problem.
until now. The Transmission wont shift and just spins and wont go. I had it towed but mechanic says he cannot fine reliable tranny specialist to rebuild
and a new transmission from Dealer costs $6500 plus installation costs. I cant justify $7500 or $8000 on . a car this old with this mileage. In the Atlanta area I located at least fifteen used transmissions in junkyards for less than $300 each but there are no guarantees and many of the vehicles have more mieage than my own at 175,000 mi. Apparently the transmissions are very complicated with lots of electronics and computer boards and a few transmission shops I called dont want to rebuild or repair because they dont know how. I hate to junk such a good looking and fine running vehicle but I am stuck ? ? ? Maybe overall this is a good thing because not enough of the transmissions break for industry to learn how to repair..... What I was hoping for here is to find that one rare shop or individual that knows about and repairs 2007 Transmissions. Any other suggestions ?
