2014 Pilot touring overheating

As I was driving my Pilot, I noticed the AC was not blowing cold air when it was idle for about 5 minutes and soon after I started driving, the hot water temperature light came on. I stopped the car and let it cool down and drove it home ( 2 miles) and left it alone. Any ideas what May be wrong with it? The car has 100K miles and I never replaced the thermostat or serpentine belt. I figured I start there first. Thank you all

What kind of temps are you experiencing?

I did not check the temperature it self but the water temperature came on and the needle was all the way up on H. Thanks

welcome to the forum. do an easy check, from a cold start, let the engine idle, watch your temp guage, before the hot light goes on check to see if the fan goes on.( not the a/c fan.) if the fan does not go on it could be the motor. put 12 volts to the motor to see if the fan turns. if you do not have a temp guage, have another person sit in the cab to advise you if the hot temp light goes on to shut off the engine to cool.
