2019 Pilot Gauge Control Software Recalls
Had my 2019 Pilot Touring in the dealer today and the "2018-21 Multimodel Gauge Control Module SW Update " FAILED to complete but the other recall "2019-20 Multimodel Front Control Box OTA Update " DID complete. No real explanation - just "unable to perform update".
Yesterday (before this recall attempt at the dealer) I did complete two OTA System Updates at home - "Software Version B.1.3.4 and Software Version Navigation 2.06.02". I gave the dealer this information and not sure if these OTA updates had any impact on the Recall updates. Anyone have any similar experiences??

Today (2 days later) I took my 2019 Pilot Touring back to the dealer to REPLACE the Gauge Control Module (nearly $1200 dealer cost but no cost to me) because my original module would not accept the software update. This was the dealer's decision and everything appears to be working fine now.

I had my 2019 Pilot EX-L done a few days ago at Honda dealer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They told me I would have to leave the car for at least a day because it would take "all day" (maybe two days) to do the work because they have to "tear the dashboard apart" (service advisor), so I could not wait while it was done (despite living 20 miles away). When I got the car back, the work sheet said it took 45 minutes to do the work. I have never had any issues with the display (apart from a Sirius issue that was solved by an update), and did not notice any differences after the fix. Noted that nobody at the dealership wearing a mask.
I did a software update at home a few weeks ago so I assume that was up to date.
