Check Emission Light
I have a 2015 Pilot. While I was driving home the check emission light came on the dashboard. It is a solid light and no other light came on.
i know i will have to take the car to have someone connect a scanner to see what codes com up.
Can I drive the car?

It threw four codes -
P0430 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold B2 This code was listed three times.
P219A - Air/Fuel Ratio Variation of Cylinder
P219B - Air/Fuel Ratio Variation of Cylinder
P0420 - Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
O'Reilly's recommended a cleaner for the exhaust and fuel system called CATACLEAN. They say it works, but the instructions state to add this 16 ounce bottle of CATACLEAN when your fuel tank is at 1/4 full or approximately four gallons left in the tank. Then drive normally for ten to fifteen miles then re-fuel. So I have to wait until the fuel tank is 1/4 full.
So, I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with this product CATACLEAN?
Cataclean is a hail mary product. One hopes it works. And if your issue is one that Cataclean can deal with then it will help. But, seeing so many DTCs means it will not help.
You have either a very bad vacuum leak and/or bad O2 sensors. Up and down stream sensors. Exhaust leaks. If yours is a federal not not CARB compliant cat then your cat is less expensive.
And you can do the cat replacement yourself (if needed). Personally would do the inspection of the O2 wiring and condition of exhaust. fix any leaks. Check the intake for any vacuum leaks. Broken hose.
In need of air filter? Clean MAF with MAF spray cleaner (about $15 in auto part store) Can use brake clean or carb cleaner to spray at areas of suspected vacuum leaks. There will be a change in the idle.
Anyway, good luck to you.
