92 Prelude with F22 engine
I'm planning on buying a 92 prelude with a brand new f22 in it. the thing only has 310 mi. on it. the body has about 100k. the guy is sellin for 3500. I was wonderin if there are any good mods for the f series. I don't know a lot about the f series except that they are the ****ty version. damn sohc non-vtech. well I thought an engine with 310 and a body and chassis that are in good shape was a deal, but now I'm concerned about getting some power out of it. what can I do about it?

RE: 92 Prelude with F22 engine
go to this site www.92lude.com and they have some small miner things that u can do.also if u want to do something kinda drastic i have the same motor in my prelude but only have an F23 head on the f22 block which is actually a good built motor i run the hell out of it and it runs great. I know personally that F22 block is very strong so i would hold on to that. I have also found out if u dont want to do that u can put the V-tech head on that F22 block. so there ra number of thigs that u can do. the small things also r cold air intake, exhaust, plugs and plug wires can help alot too. try those out and u can get some more power out of it.

RE: 92 Prelude with F22 engine
Yeah I've been lookin at a ton of diff forums about doin the head swap. I'm thinkin that I may put an H23 VTEC head on it. I've been looking for a real good writeup on it but haven't found anything that great. The threads have a lotta info but they take forever to read and the info is just scatered everywhere throughout it. A real pain in the ***. So you have an F23 head on your block, what are the advantages to that? Did you have to bore your block to 87mm? Did you have to change any lower engine parts? And what is the compression on it?
